The Engineer II, Construction – Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and coordinating infrastructure construction activities on-site. This includes ensuring that works such as roads, drainage, utilities, and civil structures are executed according to approved designs, specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day construction activities related to infrastructure (e.g., earthworks, utilities, roads, and drainage systems).
Ensure all works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to maintain workflow and resolve technical issues.
Monitor construction progress and report deviations or delays to the Construction Manager.
Conduct inspections and quality checks in collaboration with QA/QC and HSE teams.
Assist in preparing and updating daily/weekly progress reports and site documentation.
Ensure safety regulations are strictly followed by all site personnel.
Participate in site meetings and support planning and scheduling of infrastructure works.
Identify potential risks and propose solutions to avoid delays or rework.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Experience: 4–6 years of experience in infrastructure construction, preferably on large-scale projects.
Knowledge:
Solid understanding of infrastructure systems (e.g., utilities, drainage, roadworks).
Familiarity with construction standards and practices (e.g., ASTM, AASHTO, BS).
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, and construction management software.
