Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain data center infrastructure including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems.
- Monitor and optimize data center operations to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
- Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and ensure proper resource allocation and performance tuning.
- Implement and oversee backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with data center security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of systems and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement and support.
- Maintain documentation of data center configurations, processes, and standards.
- Assist in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and scalability recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and optimize workloads.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data center management or engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure including servers, networking, and storage.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions and disaster recovery planning.
- Knowledge of data center safety, security protocols, and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, VCP, CompTIA Server+) are a plus.
