Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist with a desire to enhance the fabric of our community. In this role, you will perform continuous improvement activities on an assigned moderately-complex project/program and/or functional area(s) to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with customer and Parsons requirements. Regularly interacts with representatives from a variety of functional groups, including program management, design/engineering, contracts, construction, and other personnel.
Responsibilities:
Reviews documents and the performance of audited activities, prepares checklists and agendas for audit, performs audits and assessments of performance, conducts pre-and post-audit meetings/interviews, and prepares final audit reports in a timely manner.
Analyzes findings/issues/non-conformances identified during audits to determine program quality and identify performance trends. Analysis includes all available oversight results, both internal and external, and trending data.
Assures audited activities meet Parsons’ and Client requirements.
Promotes safety awareness including adhering to safety rules and requirements.
Reviews (and approves if required) documents prepared by internal or external organizations such as manuals and procedures, technical deliverables, test plans and procedures.
Provides support to management for interface on the required activities with internal or external organizations (customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and others).
Attends meetings with management, client representatives, contractors, and consultants.
Conducts training for client, contractors, and consultants as per the approved training program by Parsons.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field (or equivalent work experience) and typically
8+ years of related work experience in the field of Quality. Lead Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSBB or equal) training certificate.
Requires knowledge of building processes and templates.
Required knowledge in LSSGB principles.
Very good written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio
