Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a Stormwater Design Engineer who can enhance the technical depth and knowledge, manage project tasks, and develop client relationships to help us grow the stormwater planning and design market in KSA. The primary duties of the Stormwater Design Engineer include working with both senior and junior engineers on stormwater design and planning projects to develop solutions that meet our clients’ needs. Work duties include project engineering and task management, producing and overseeing the production of design calculations; hydraulic, hydrologic, and stormwater facilities modeling; developing plan sheets, cost estimates, and writing technical reports and specifications; and maintaining client relationships. The Stormwater Design Engineer is expected to work independently as well as plan, organize, and assist teams of professionals and technicians, including mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities:
Provide project and task management for midsized and large projects on housing and stand-alone stormwater projects.
Assist project managers in developing scope, schedule, and budgetary documents for projects.
Prepare and oversee the development of construction plan sheets, specifications, and cost estimates under the direct supervision of the Project Manager.
Oversee the production of design calculations, reports, stormwater models, and technical memoranda.
Assist and lead stormwater planning projects.
Work directly with clients on projects.
Harbor a strong work ethic, a drive to solve problems, and an ability to develop innovative solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) and 13+ years of related work experience.
Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment as well as independently to complete tasks.
Working knowledge of CAD and other software packages typically associated with engineering.
