Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and customer-oriented Cashier to manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will handle payments, issue receipts, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist with purchases.
- Handle cash, credit, debit, and other payment transactions.
- Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, or credits as required.
- Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Ensure cash handling and payment policies are followed.
- Answer customer queries and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
- Keep checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with sales staff and other team members to provide a smooth customer experience.
- Report discrepancies or suspicious activity to management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role preferred.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle transactions responsibly and ethically.
- Customer service–oriented with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
