Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager with 5-7 years of experience in consulting or business development, ideally within the public sector or professional services industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving the firm's growth, expanding client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
1. Market Research and Opportunity Identification:
o Lead the effort of in-depth market research to identify industry trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive activities.
o Analyze and monitor the Saudi market, with a focus on public sector needs, to pinpoint high-value opportunities that aligns with the firm's offerings. o Leverage insights to align the firm's business development strategies with market demands.
2. Client Management and Relationship Building:
o Create, cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients.
o Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their strategic priorities and challenges.
o Lead business development efforts, including defining the business case, project scopes, estimating budgets, and structuring teams.
3. Lead Generation and Pipeline Development:
o Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads throughout the year
o Identify and target key decision-makers within prospective client organizations.
o Qualify opportunities and prioritize leads based on alignment with the firm’s strategic goals.
4. Proposal and Presentation Development:
o Ability to create pitch presentations that support the sales process with clients and decision makers.
o Oversee the development of competitive, tailored proposals and presentations to address client needs.
o Lead pitch presentations and negotiations to secure new business.
5. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
o Manage and mentor junior business development and consulting team members, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
o Work closely with delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition from business development to project execution.
o Promote knowledge-sharing within the team by communicating market insights and best practices.
6. Networking and Brand Development:
o Represent the firm at key industry events, conferences, and seminars to enhance visibility and build a strong network.
o Develop and maintain a professional online presence (e.g., LinkedIn) to engage with potential clients and partners.
o Contribute to the firm's marketing efforts by providing insights into client needs and market trends.
7. Strategic Partnerships and Innovation:
o Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships that enhance the firm’s service offerings or expand market reach.
o Propose innovative solutions or new service lines to address emerging market demands.
8. Knowledge Management and Training:
o Act as a subject matter expert, sharing insights and market knowledge with internal teams.
o Train junior staff in business development best practices and support their professional growth.
