Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Assistant Chief Engineering to join our team in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. In this key leadership role, you will work closely with the Chief Engineer to oversee and manage complex engineering projects, drive innovation, and ensure operational excellence across our engineering department.
- Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to develop and implement strategic engineering initiatives aligned with organizational goals
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Oversee multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for complex engineering challenges
- Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation effectively
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
- Liaise with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive project success
- Contribute to the development of engineering policies, procedures, and best practices
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain the company's competitive edge
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior engineering management role
- Proven expertise in relevant engineering disciplines and industry-specific knowledge
- Strong proficiency in engineering software and tools
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor engineering teams
- Excellent project management skills, including budget management and risk assessment
- Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Willingness to travel as required for project oversight and stakeholder meetings
