Job Brief
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Chef Assistant to support our culinary team in creating delicious and memorable dining experiences. As a Chef Assistant, you will work closely with chefs and kitchen staff, playing a vital role in food preparation, kitchen organization, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients
- Support chefs in the cooking and assembly of dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Receive and store food deliveries, rotating stock to ensure freshness
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate the timely execution of food orders
- Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and reporting any issues to the chef
- Follow proper food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and order in the kitchen environment
Requirements and Skills
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with common kitchen equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Team collaboration and the ability to take direction from chefs
- Enthusiasm for learning and a passion for the culinary arts
