ADMINISTRATIVE.TAX and GL SUPERVISOR

Responsible for supervising the tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance function.

General Accounting

·         Liaise with Sales and Manufacturing department heads for timely updates on quarterly forecast and monthly flash reports.

·         Update and enter forecast changes in Hyperion and generate necessary reports.  

·         Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports.

·         Calculate and prepare journal entries for local transactions.

·         Prepare monthly financial statements for Sales & Manufacturing, ensure balance sheet accounts are analyzed.

·         Prepare variance analyses and spend reports.

Tax Accounting

·         Prepare local indirect tax returns and compile necessary info & support for review with external consultants.

·         Prepare and compile necessary info for quarterly GAAP tax provisions.

·         Enter quarterly tax provision data in dedicated tax software and generate reports package.

·         Ensure timely submission of local tax returns such as VAT, and WHT, in addition to GAAP tax reports as per international tax calendar.  

·         Prepare accounting reconciliations for VAT, WHT, and CIT accounts.

·         Work with internal and external sources to gather data need for tax audits.

Other Responsibilities

·         Assist and participate in special projects on a regular basis.

·         Assist in AFE closures

·       Perform other duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications / SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5-7 years of experience, role in tax accounting.
• Multinational business familiarity
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Tax Provision Software, Oracle, or known ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Prior experience with tax functions of large corporation preferred.
• Prior oil & gas industry experience is preferred.
• Oracle experience preferred
• Professional qualification i.e. ACCA, CPA, CA or CMA
