- As a Water Treatments & Fuel Technician, you will be integral to maintaining and monitoring water treatment systems, including desalination units, cooling towers, and chemical dosing areas. Your role will involve physical monitoring of these areas, conducting regular communications with team members, and ensuring accurate reporting. You will work closely with the Utility Shift Task Force to promote operational efficiency and safety.
- Attend and participate in Utility Shift Task Force shop floor meetings to discuss operational updates and safety protocols.
- Maintain effective communication through emails, WhatsApp, and phone calls with team members and stakeholders.
- Physically monitor the water treatment area, including:
- Desalination units
- Cooling towers
- Demineralization units
- Neutralization pit
- Chemical dosing area
- Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
- LAC/Diesel unloading area
- Check all operational parameters, fill log sheets, and record chemical tank levels.
- Conduct stock takes of chemicals to ensure adequate supply.
- Complete an end-of-shift report detailing activities and any issues encountered.
- Facilitate an effective communication and handover exchange with the incoming Water Treatment Technician.
- Collect water samples for analysis by Veolia, adhering to proper sampling protocols.
Education: 1-year vocational school training or 2-year associate's degree.
Experience: +2 year’s relevant experience.
Language: Arabic & English.
