We are seeking a skilled Level 2 Deskside Technician on a contract/part-time basis to join our IT support services team. The technician will provide advanced support to end-users, resolving complex hardware and software issues, and assisting with technical tasks and IT initiatives. This is a great opportunity for an experienced support technician looking for flexible, project-based work.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle escalated IT support tickets for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot complex software, hardware, and network issues
- Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of end-user devices
- Provide advanced guidance and troubleshooting to users on-site or remotely
- Maintain accurate records of support cases, asset tracking, and inventory
- Escalate unresolved technical problems to senior IT teams or vendors
- Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., software updates, hardware checks)
- Document support processes and contribute to the IT knowledge base
- Collaborate with internal IT and network teams during issue resolution
- Provide outstanding customer service to all users
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of IT support or deskside technician experience (required)
- Proficient in Windows and/or macOS troubleshooting
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, and remote desktop tools
- Strong knowledge of printers, peripherals, and basic networking (LAN/WAN)
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified (preferred)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tickets/tasks
