We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager - Roads/Highways to spearhead the planning and execution of our vital road and highway infrastructure projects. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and a proven track record in managing large-scale transportation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of roads and highways projects, ensuring alignment with regional development goals and standards.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, managing the project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including design engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to facilitate efficient project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, addressing any challenges or issues that may arise to keep projects on track.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status and milestones.
- Lead project meetings and reviews, fostering collaboration and teamwork across diverse groups.
- Utilize project management tools and software to track and document project deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of project management experience in transportation infrastructure, specifically in roads and highways.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex projects and coordinating with various stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Proficient in project management software and engineering design tools.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent are a plus.
