Job Description
The Revenue Accountant is responsible for managing all aspects of customer invoicing, revenue recognition, and billing system accuracy. This role ensures that revenue is recorded correctly under IFRS 15, supports monthly closings, and works closely with internal teams to maintain financial accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable handling high volumes of billing data.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue customer invoices based on contracts, delivery schedules, or project milestones
- Ensure revenue recognition aligns with IFRS 15 and internal accounting policies
- Maintain accurate billing data and monitor unbilled, deferred, and accrued revenue accounts
- Coordinate with sales, operations, and project teams to validate invoicing information
- Respond to customer queries and support resolution of revenue or invoice discrepancies
- Assist with month-end revenue reconciliations and closing activities
- Provide billing schedules, reports, and documentation to support audits
Skills
- Strong knowledge of billing systems, revenue recognition, and IFRS 15
- Proficient in ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics, and advanced Excel
- Comfortable managing high volumes of billing transactions and deadlines
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail in revenue reporting and reconciliations
- Clear communicator with the ability to work across multiple departments
- Process-oriented and proactive in identifying areas for improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in revenue operations, billing, or contract-based invoicing
- Experience with project accounting, contract billing cycles, and audit support
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus
- Preference will be given to Saudi nationals
