As Purchasing Manager, you’ll oversee all procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services across the hotel. From food and beverage supplies to operating equipment, you’ll ensure the quality, compliance, and value of all purchases — supporting seamless operations and IHG’s commitment to excellence and sustainability.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement purchasing strategies that support operational and financial goals.
Source and negotiate with vendors to secure the best quality, pricing, and service terms.
Maintain relationships with approved suppliers and evaluate new vendors as needed.
Ensure compliance with IHG procurement standards and local regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast purchasing needs.
Oversee purchase order processing, receiving procedures, and invoice approvals.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, contracts, and supplier performance.
Work closely with Finance and department heads to control costs and manage budgets.
Support sustainability goals through responsible and ethical sourcing.
Lead and supervise purchasing team members, providing training and guidance.
Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Hospitality Management.
Minimum 3–5 years of procurement experience in hospitality or a similar field.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
Knowledge of purchasing systems, inventory management, and budgeting.
Familiarity with IHG procurement standards and platforms (preferred).
