The opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Project Site Engineering Senior Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be preparing a site execution schedule for High voltage substations (including mobile substations, e-house integration, primary and secondary site/yard activities).
How you’ll make an impact
- Planning, coordinating, and managing the overall site activities and subcontractors and be accountable of site execution on time and on budget.
- Ensuring all site installation, testing, and commissioning activities are performed as per site execution schedule and
- Coordinating the daily construction activities at the project site with the objective of ensuring all activities comply with project quality plan, specifications, and site program.
- Planning the activities to effectively use resources to meet construction program.
- Reviewing specification drawings to resolve any discrepancies or conflicts.
- Monitoring materials, equipment and manpower on site in order to ensure that the appropriate materials is available to meet the construction program timing.
- Appling advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
- Responsibilities may include Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
- Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Work experience in site management, installation and commissioning, handling various utility substation project in the Saudi Arabia (National Grid, SEC, ARAMCO, SABIC etc.) in a site lead role is required with exposure to 33kV/132kV/220kV/400kV GIS and AIS projects.
- Detailed domain expertise in site management of primary and secondary is a must.
- Experience of primary testing activities including CT/VT, GIS/AIS and Power transformer & knowledge of protection & control IEDs scheme tests.
- Experience in review of LVAC, DC system engineering such as I/O list, CT/VT , control cable list and termination list etc.
- Estimation of sit requirement and preparation of RFQs during project and tender stage, supplier offer evaluations, witnessing FAT and issue resolutions, etc.
- knowledge of Primary equipment of GIS and AIS substation, layouts, earthing, cabling, lightning protection, sizing calculations, BOQ estimation, RFQ, supplier offer verification, FAT, MV system etc.
- knowledge of secondary equipment and Auxiliaries of GIS & AIS substations, LV AC boards, service/auxiliary transformers, earthing transformers, DC system - batteries and battery chargers, UPS, inverter, security system, CCTV, access control, EPABX,
- experience of coordination with civil and MEP disciplines in the substation, inputs for civil and MEP engineering, interfaces, coordination check with civil & MEP services etc.
- Experience of preparing BOQ, deviation list, clarifications, technical proposal for tenders and customer enquiries for firm and budgetary tenders.
- Minimum 8-10 years of work experience required of which 3-4 years of experience in a lead site manager role is a must.
- SEC/NG approved as site manager is required. (or commitment to get approved within 6 months)
- HV equipment & GIS specialization and certification (Hitachi Energy GIS) is a Plus
- PMP/PMI certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
