To ensure that all operations are conducted in a professional and safe manner:
- Review passage plan and weather reports and advise vessels
- Review cargo loading, vessel stability, vessel stress, cargo securing and cargo discharge plan
- Ensure vessel always provided with fuel and freshwater
- Ensure that vessels’ navigational standards, communication, cargo handling, anchoring, mooring, and DP systems are always maintained ready for operation
- Review vessel agent, selection, and performance in conjunction with Crewing, SCM, and technical department
- Review fuel consumption in conjunction with the technical department
- Track budget of vessels handled
- Maintain all vessel documents in respective folders as per IMS requirement
- Review DPR and Month End documents from vessels handled
- Ensure that all managed vessels are properly manned by fit-for-purpose officers and crew with the right certificates, experience, and track records with assistance from crewing team
- Ensure that all managed vessels possess the appropriate flag, personnel, and class certificates to comply with regulatory and client requirements – this includes all permits, clearances and licences required in the region/ field/ operation
- Ensure that all managed vessels are OVID compliant; regular inspections done, audited and actions closed out within the agreed time
- Development, mentoring and coaching of Officers, Crew and Onshore staff
- Conduct pre hire interview for Masters and crew, regular appraisals
- Briefing and Debriefing of the Master, Officer and crew
- Conduct pre hire interviews for shore team as required
- Review and continuously improve operational procedures and processes
- Monitor defects list in Poseidon and arrange timely close out
- Post incident, investigation, implement corrective and preventive actions for operations
- Monitor and complete OVID, OVPQ for all vessels as requested by Ops. Manager
- Any other requirements which shall require his professional knowledge
To ensure that our customers’ needs and requirements are understood and fulfilled:
- Post CPA charter commencement: to be the AESEN focal point for our customers’ representatives; to ensure that all clauses of the charter party are understood and complied with and appropriately reported to the clients
- Meet and engage with customers representatives at regular intervals
- Obtain feedback and communicate the same within the Group and drive compliance
- Attend customers’ safety and other meetings as and when required
- Obtain information on customers’ future needs and plans
- Replace master or Ch. Off in case of emergency
Requirements
- Master COC unlimited
- Aramco approval as port captain preferred
- Holding a valid KSA driving license
- Thorough understanding of the Middle East, West Africa, India and other operating theaters
- Strong Knowledge in all Offshore activities
- Detailed understanding of applicable rules and regulations, conventions, and law applicable to the industry, area of operations and vessels
- Good organization skills and attention to details
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
