Responsibilities:
- Performance indicators – Ensure the effective provision of Physical Logistics activities by meeting delivery targets and understanding how individual actions contribute to overall delivery performance.
- Completion of activities – Ensure all Physical Logistics activities are appropriately documented on relevant systems (IT / paper based). Compile required reporting, identify any issues and escalate as appropriate.
- Procedure/standards – Comply with the Part 145 Exposition, its associated procedures and standards and any other company procedures and standards, as applicable. Identify and propose changes, as required.
- Safety Management System – Ensure Human Factors and Error Management philosophies are applied to all Physical Logistics activities. Understand the risks associated with Physical Logistics and the means by which they are mitigated and managed.
- Management System Assurance – Ensure Physical Logistics activities are compliant with the SMS BAESAI Governance and Assurance framework, including supporting process confirmations and assurance audits. Support the response to audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and provide information to support the relevant reviews. Support the implementation of identified improvements to overcome any non-compliance and monitor effectiveness.
- Statutory, Regulatory & Legislative requirements – Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding and application of the relevant Continuing Airworthiness regulatory framework. Support the implementation of any regulatory-driven changes into the Physical Logistics activities. Ensure compliance with all other requirements, e.g. ITAR, EaPW, ISO, etc.
- Contractual Requirements – Ensure compliance with applicable contractual requirements, e.g. the incorporation of required changes into Physical Logistics processes.
- Ensure all associated work is carried out in accordance with BAESAI policy and has the general awareness of the Competency Framework.
- Support as directed to receive all items, ensuring that all required documentation is present and correct and that the packaging is intact. Quarantine any non-conforming items for appropriate investigation action. Record receipts using Stock accounting systems and procedures in place.
- Support as directed to check that part numbers on documentation matches that marked on the part or parts packaging. Quarantine any non-confirming items for appropriate investigation action. Record receipts using Stock accounting systems and procedures in place.
- Ensure accurate and appropriate location and storage of goods, parts, sub-assemblies and related items into location as indicated by logistics storage systems.
- Support as directed to ensure the preservation of materials and equipment is conducted as defined within logistics storage systems.
- Support as directed to ensure the storage, handling and movement of hazardous materials is carried out as defined within hazard data sheets and mandated procedures.
- Support as directed to pick, pack and deliver parts requests to the customer, ensuring the right parts are delivered to the right place at the right time safely including line side replenishment.
- Support as directed to protect any materials for dispatch against transit damage. Adhere to material packaging standards publications.
- Support as directed to liaise with relevant transport agencies to collect items for onwards despatch to customer or return to supplier. Ensure that all accompanying documentation requirements are met.
- Support as directed to identify and record inability items to supply items ensuring all relevant teams are aware.
- Contribute to building effective business relationships with other functions, customers and suppliers to facilitate supply problems.

NVQ 2 / National Diploma Level 2
Experience
Essential: IELTS 5.0
Desirable: Experienced stores person, able to drive a forklift truck, fully conversant with logistics and warehouse management systems, locations and safe handling methods. Use of special to type containers. Awareness of potential hazards caused by incorrect storage such as moisture ingress and cadmium corrosion
Required: Basic IT literacy skills and some knowledge of asset tracking / MRP systems
