Shear International Co. Ltd is looking for a Mechanical Supervisor in its Steel Foundry & Iron Casting Factory in Jeddah KSA. The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising mechanical maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and performance of plant machinery and equipment. This includes overseeing repairs, preventive maintenance, and installation tasks while ensuring adherence to safety standards and minimizing production downtime in a heavy industrial environment.
️ Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Maintenance & Repairs:
- Supervise daily maintenance activities for mechanical systems such as conveyors, pumps, compressors, hydraulic presses, molding machines, furnaces, and cranes.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and ensure timely repair of equipment to avoid production delays.
- Oversee the alignment, lubrication, welding, and fabrication work as required.
Preventive Maintenance Planning:
- Implement and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure maintenance tasks are executed according to plan and recorded properly.
- Coordinate with the production department to schedule equipment downtime for maintenance.
Team Supervision:
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical technicians and fitters.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure quality workmanship.
- Conduct on-site training and enforce safety protocols within the team.
️ Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all mechanical work is performed in compliance with safety regulations.
- Enforce use of PPE, proper tools, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to ensure a safe work environment.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain daily and weekly maintenance reports.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to log activities and breakdowns.
- Track mechanical spares consumption and assist in inventory control.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a heavy industrial or foundry environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and foundry equipment.
- Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and manuals.

- Ability to work under pressure and during emergency breakdowns.
- Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and machining techniques is an advantage.
