Managing Partner for a Saudi-based boutique consulting firm
The context
Dunecrest is supporting a boutique consulting firm to hire its new Managing Partner. Dunecrest’s client is a boutique consulting firm with its main office in Saudi Arabia and small satellite offices in the MENA region. The company is mid-sized and focuses on the social sector and social impact (e.g. social entrepreneurship, social investment, philanthropy, economic development, circular economy, sustainability, public policy, CSR strategy).
The company has grown steadily over the past years and is now looking for a new Managing Partner to consolidate the company’s growth and bring it to the next level.
Job summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Managing Partner to lead the company. The position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires native Arabic and fluent English.
The ideal candidate has at least 10 years’ experience in management positions and a strong consulting experience.
The Managing Partner is responsible for leading the strategic direction, operations, business development, and team management of the company. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of social sector dynamics in Saudi Arabia and the broader MENA region, strong consulting acumen, and the ability to drive impact-driven growth.
The position
You will support our operations and growth, with a focus on the following responsibilities:
Strategic leadership
- Define and execute the firm’s long-term strategy aligned with national priorities such as Vision 2030
- Identify emerging trends in the social development landscape and adapt the firm's service offerings accordingly
- Represent the firm in high-level stakeholder engagements with government agencies, NGOs, foundations, and international organizations
Business development and client relationship management
- Cultivate and expand relationships with key clients, including ministries, philanthropic organizations, and international development agencies
- Lead high-value proposal development and negotiations to secure new business opportunities
- Oversee client satisfaction and ensure high-quality delivery across all engagements
Operations and financial management
- Oversee the firm’s operational and financial performance, ensuring profitability and sustainability
- Approve budgets, manage resource allocation, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations and professional standards
Team leadership and talent management
- Inspire, mentor, and develop high-performing consulting teams
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work culture aligned with the firm’s values and mission
- Attract and retain top talent with a passion for social impact and innovation
Thought leadership and advocacy
- Act as a thought leader by speaking at forums and contributing to public discourse on social development in Saudi Arabia and the GCC region
- Collaborate with academic institutions and policy think tanks on knowledge development
Required qualifications and ideal profile
- A degree (required) in one or more of the following fields (preferred): Public Policy, Strategic Management, International Development, Nonprofit Management, Philanthropy, Economics, Social Innovation, Business Administration
- At least 10 years’ experience in general/top management
- Prior experience in management consulting preferred
- Prior experience in the social sector working on topics such as social entrepreneurship, social sector development, philanthropy, circular economy, public policy, CSR strategy, community engagement
- Very familiar with Saudi Arabia and GCC countries in general
- Proven track record in business development and building partnerships
- Bilingual in Arabic and English
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams
- The candidate should be comfortable working with team members across different countries and time zones, and be willing to travel as required in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region
