Job Description:
Head of Solutions:
The candidate will develop and communicate a clear strategic vision for the solutions team, aligning it with the overall goals of the agency.
Own and evolve the solution consulting vision across the customer lifecycle—from evaluation to value realization.
Manages day-to-day activities of solutions development initiatives
Leads the programme management of solutions development initiatives and associated “solution councils” of cross-functional SMEs - including managing meeting logistics and coordination, project timeline development and tracking, project management of deliverables development etc
Conducts research on business, industry and marketplace trends using third-party research and business intelligence resources.
Assists senior solutions team members in synthesising market intelligence and trend data into an understanding of solution buyers, buying models and “white space” solutions opportunities
Conducts research and compiles SWOT analysis of competitive capabilities and solution offerings. Tracks, monitors and updates competitive analysis on on-going basis
Helps to develop and co-lead design-thinking-led solutioning workshops (with internal and external stakeholders) to drive disruptive solutions development
Creates/develops and keeps up-to-date a central repository of solutions collateral materials (solutions pitch decks, one pagers etc.), case studies and business cases; as well solutions development “best practice” guidance documents, examples and templates
Sources case studies and content for business cases to support solutions development initiatives and strengthen solutions “sales narratives”
Candidate should have experience in collaboration and cross-functional leadership: Understanding the importance of working closely with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure cohesive and effective solutions delivery.
Closely collaborates with new business development, corporate communications and demand generation teams to manage the logistics for initiatives to promote the solutions portfolio to both internal stakeholders (client partners, new business/growth officer community etc.) as well as external stakeholders (clients, analysts etc.)
Leads, alongside Chief Growth Officer and Capability Service Leads, new and existing business pitches (from a solution perspective), creating the solution, curating the slides and key messaging and being part of the submission and pitch team all the way through to decision.
Responsibility for building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Knows the importance and has the ability of staying up-to-date with the latest marketing technology trends and innovations, and implementing these to improve the agency's offerings.
The role's responsibility also covers recruiting, developing, and mentoring a high-performing solutions team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Serve as a trusted escalation advisor to prospects and customers across sales and customer success (from a solution standpoint)
Push the boundaries of demo solutions, inspire the discovery of WOW moments, improve technical documentation, and build integration playbooks.
Ideally familiar with Merkle or a competitive agency and the technology and solutions delivered in this space. Minimum experience across Salesforce and Adobe.
