Job Description
Major Accountabilities
- Yearly integrated/aligned plans for brand communications, corporate communications, internal communications, social media, and patient relations.
- Successful implementation of communications plans in close cooperation with key business partners.
- Identification, anticipation, and management of issues by working with appropriate functions and counsel management.
- Profile country leadership team by sharing stories that bring our philosophy to win for patients to life.
- Strong and successful cross-functional collaboration within the country GCC and APMA region.
- Management of PR agencies and communications/patient relations budget.
- Facilitate/support patient organization events and align expectations with common areas of interest focused on improving patient outcomes through a patient centric approach.
- Incorporate the patient voice into the franchise/brand integrated product strategy as well as communications and social media plans.
- Ensure consistency of Novartis brand and market position in external communications, by ensuring alignment at the BF, and brand levels, and by putting in place necessary communication-control processes
- Develop crisis-management communication planning, readiness and response capabilities
- Serve as Communications leader and strategist on KSA LT; counsel KSA IM leaders on critical communications issues, opportunities and potential risks.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven track record in similar communications roles, with added value from experience in patient advocacy.
- Direct understanding of communication challenges within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in relation to public, media, investor, and internal stakeholder engagements highly preferrable.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, backed by a minimum of 6 years in a managerial capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Literature, Journalism, Law, Science, or a related discipline.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Arabic, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
