Position Overview
The Financial Controller (FC) is a pivotal member of the Company’s executive leadership team, providing strategic financial leadership to support the CEO in initiating, implementing, and monitoring the companies’ strategies and long-term plans. The FC ensures robust financial planning, performance monitoring, governance, and compliance across the company. This role demands a strong, commercially minded leader with extensive experience, capable of strengthening internal control frameworks, safeguarding financial integrity, and driving sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Partner with the CEO in formulating, restructuring, communicating, and executing company-wide strategy and business plans.
- Lead integrated financial planning to align budgets, forecasts, and capital allocation with strategic priorities.
- Provide advanced financial insights, scenario analysis, and risk assessments to support decision-making for growth, diversification, and operational excellence.
2. Financial Performance Management
- Establish standardized financial reporting templates for the company.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the financial performance of each entity within the company.
- Drive performance improvement by identifying cost-optimization opportunities and revenue-enhancement strategies.
- Oversee cash flow management to ensure operational liquidity and fund strategic investments.
- Ensure the timely issuance of audited financial statements in full compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and track key financial benchmarks for subsidiaries to improve income statement efficiency and optimize balance sheet structures to maximize the company’s value.
3. Governance, Compliance & Control
- Strengthen financial control procedures, policies, and internal audit frameworks across the Group subsidiaries.
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and industry-specific statutory requirements.
- Optimize ERP utilization to strengthen financial reporting and drive greater process efficiency.
4. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across all companies to ensure high performance and cross-company collaboration.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s is a plus).
- Professional certifications: CMA, FMVA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3–5 10-15 years of proven experience in the same role (Financial Controller or equivalent) with direct responsibility for accounting supervision, planning, budgeting, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and internal control frameworks.
- Hands-on ERP and reporting systems experience.
- Personal qualities: Integrity, Accountability, Leadership, Analytical mindset, and Collaboration skills.
Language Requirement (Mandatory)
This role requires excellent command of both Arabic and English (spoken and written). The Financial Controller will collaborate with local and international stakeholders, prepare bilingual reports, and ensure effective communication across the organization.
