Details of the Division and Team:
Financial and Regulatory Reporting is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of complete and comprehensive financial and regulatory reporting and analysis, for their area, in line with applicable internal policies and external regulatory, statutory and control frameworks.
This position involves supporting the Head of Finance, KSA (in Riyadh) in providing full-service Finance support under the Regional Finance function to the two main businesses in KSA Corporate Banking and Wealth Management.

Your key responsibilities:
Direct reporting line is to the Head of Finance, KSA. It is envisaged that the candidate will be the main registered finance contact point with the banking regulator , SAMA.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate solid banking and markets Finance experience and will require ‘hands-on’ experience of the following functional areas:
- Liaison and point of contact for the main banking regulator SAMA.
- The majority of communication and submission to the regulator are in Arabic. Fluency in both spoken and written Arabic is required.
- Managing external/internal audits of the entity including resolving the issues arise during audit in a timely and efficient manner, coordinating with relevant parties as and when required.
- Managing regulatory and taxation returns for the entity including review of monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns.
- Validation, control over the month end close process, both revenues and costs bookings, liaising directly with front office and operational staff and management in Riyadh to ensure relevant bookings are complete and accurate.
- Facilitation of the month-end balance sheet substantiation (MRP) as secondary Finance owner
- Liaison with both line business management and infrastructure functions to ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place
- Assisting in the completion of New Product Approval cross-functional risk-assessment checklists for new product or business implementations
In addition, the role will require:
- Onshore KSA coverage for other core Finance roles, as directed by Head of Finance, KSA
The role requires the following competencies gained in an international or large domestic Banking or Securities working environment as follows:
- Strong product accounting knowledge for vanilla Markets and Banking products
- The ability to analyse and communicate ‘risks’ inherent in a given operational or product booking situation, as well as delivering appropriate solutions
- Application skills which demonstrate an aptitude for change and a ’hands-on’ approach
- Strong inter-personal communication skills to support relationship-building across multi-functional teams
- An ability to work on initiative
Your skills and experience:
- Preferably a recognised Accounting Qualification, with 4-5 years experience the areas above
- Banking experience is a must
- Internal DB core Finance systems, interface and DB financial data standard knowledge (SAP, Janus, BCS, FIM)
- Strong MS Office skills
