Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical and civil Engineer to join our bidding and estimation team at Wafaq . The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of substation electrical systems and Civil works, This role offers the opportunity to grow within a fast-paced project environment and contribute to key bidding and technical processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the preparation of technical and commercial bids for the electrical and civil for the substation and other projects.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and BOQs to prepare accurate take-offs and cost estimates.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and operations teams to gather essential data for bids.
Assist in preparing pre-qualification documents, civil electrical shop drawings, and material submittals.
Maintain a log of all bidding documentation and ensure timely submissions.
Participate in bid clarification meetings and assist with client or consultant communications when required.
Review consultant feedback on bids and shop drawings and help incorporate changes accordingly.
Provide technical input during project handover to execution teams.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in electrical and civil engineering or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in substation civil and Electrical, estimation or technical roles
Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic understanding of electrical systems (e.g., GIS equipment, transformers, switchgear, panel boards, cabling, control systems). estimation practices and reading civil and electrical schematics and BOQs.
Knowledge of REVIT or other BIM tools is a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
