Job Purpose
Oversee the planning, activation, development, and execution of all projects and programs aimed at enhancing AlUla’s economy by activating non-tourism sectors. The goal is to achieve higher standards of living, drive economic growth, create employment opportunities, and establish new MSMEs.
Key Accountabilities
Functional Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, activation, development, and execution of projects and programs targeting economic development through non-tourism sectors.
- Develop policies, strategic plans, and concepts to establish and regulate economic development sectors in AlUla, ensuring proper sector development and funding strategies.
- Monitor the execution and delivery of programs and projects in collaboration with the Development and Construction team, ensuring adherence to plans and budgets.
- Oversee pre-feasibility studies and analyses, and identify potential investment opportunities in collaboration with the Investment team.
- Define financial and budgeting controls to be adopted in planning economic development initiatives.
- Supervise the implementation of project plans aimed at driving economic growth across AlUla County.
- Maintain ongoing engagement with the local AlUla community to ensure high levels of participation in economic development initiatives.
Managerial Responsibilities
- Contribute to the sector’s short- and long-term strategy from the department’s perspective, in alignment with RCU’s overall vision and mission.
- Develop the department’s strategy, objectives, KPIs, and annual operational plans, ensuring execution aligns with targets.
- Prepare and submit the department’s annual budget, considering all planned activities and required investments, and monitor financial performance.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure overall performance management, including the development, cascading, communication, and monitoring of KPIs.
- Ensure effective staffing, professional development, and deployment of staff of the sector in consultation with the Sector Executive.
- Direct the Department's connection to its customers, whether internal or external, to ensure customer needs are met effectively.
Job Requirements
Academic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Economic, Business Administration, Finance, Or a related field. (Master’s Degree preferred) Work Experience 10 years of relevant experience with 5 years in a managerial role. Other Requirements
• Written and Oral proficiency of Arabic & English languages.
