Role Purpose
To supervise and co-manage the implementation of the corporate performance framework in order to lead the creation of corporate / strategic / departmental set of KPIs in alignment with SANS strategic objectives and top priorities. co-manage the analysis of the current processes to see how effective they are and identifying performance gaps and potential areas of improvement to enhance the performance. Review the insights produced through the use of data from multiple sources internally of externally including CANSO, ICAO, GACA, and others. And evaluate data and performance information to identify better ways to do business as well as new business opportunities within the set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures.Key Accountability Areas

Business Excellence
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes taking into account leading practices, changes in business environment, cost reduction and productivity improvement
- Monitor the identifies and eliminates or mitigates major COPQ (cost of poor quality) processes. Reduces defects with the goal of becoming defect-free.
- Continuously improve company’s organizational capabilities to achieve process quality as part of project execution, including an awareness of the need of continuous improvement behavior
- Support project teams in process quality activities by educating, coaching, and mentoring others on process improvement philosophy, tools, and application.
Performance Management
- Develop and manage the corporate performance system in order to measure SANS’ performance through the use of appropriate tools and mechanisms (i.e. Balanced Scorecard BSC, etc.)
- Lead the creation of performance metrics, reporting and improvement targets for all business units.
- Review periodical performance reports before submitting to the management.
- Monitor the execution of awareness sessions for all employees on corporate performance system
- Ensure that SANS departments are notified ahead of time on KPIs that are not meeting the stated targets and ensure they understand the implications of not meeting the targets
- Review the outcome of risk assessment and gap analysis sessions performance areas owners.
- Facilitate the resolution of change requests, raised risks & issues.
Change Management
- Drive culture change to instil focus on fact-based management practices, the use of Six Sigma and other problem-solving methodologies.
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Lead and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Performance Management department and execute requested tasks that are aligned with department objectives.
- Ensures the standardization of work processes.
People Management
- Guide, mentor and develop department’s team to take larger and more complex responsibilities
- Provide clear top-down communication to employees and bottom-up feedback to the Management
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in performance management/project management.
- Considerable knowledge of Air Navigation and CNS / ATM Systems is required.
Education and Certifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent is required
