Description
The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all compliance-related reports and communications, particularly those directed to SAMA. This role involves managing regulatory submissions, maintaining a comprehensive database of relevant laws and regulations, and supporting various compliance programs and initiatives.The Compliance Officer will work closely with senior management and other departments to ensure that the organisation adheres to all regulatory requirements and maintains high standards of complianceKey Responsibilities
- Facilitate on-site inspections, ensuring full cooperation with regulatory agencies, and providing access to relevant information in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit annual, semi-annual, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports to SAMA, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage communications with SAMA, including responding to inquiries and providing required documentation.
- Assist in preparing NoC and Fit & Proper requests to SAMA, ensuring all submissions meet regulatory standards.
- Assist in the development of quarterly compliance reports completing inputs from different sources and team-members.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all compliance-related reports to senior management.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs and initiatives.
- Support awareness campaigns, including creating and disseminating compliance messages.
- Assist in development and facilitating compliance training for employees.
- Support self-assessments and compliance testing to identify and mitigate risks.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior management, highlighting key findings and risks.
- Any other assignment as entrusted by the head of compliance
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards, particularly with SAMA.
- Bachelor's degree in law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in compliance, regulatory reporting, or a related role.
