Minimum Required Qualifications
Specialty
Business Development, Technical Sales, and Project Management within the Minerals & Metals sector.
Education Degree
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Sciences, or a related field. Master’s degree in Business Administration is preferred.
Technical Knowledge
- Solid understanding of laboratory operations, including sample workflows and equipment
- Familiarity with mineral testing services such as mineralogy, extractive metallurgy, and geochemical analysis
- Experience in technical and commercial proposal development, including financial modeling and tender documentation
- Knowledge of project commissioning, operational planning, and client technical engagement
Experience
Minimum 8–10 years in business development, technical sales, or project management within the mining or laboratory services sector
Responsibilities / Authorities / Accountabilities
Primary Functions – Strategic Market Development
- Responsible for driving the growth of Bureau Veritas’s market share across KSA and MCA within the Minerals & Metals (M&M) sector
- Proactively map, identify, and evaluate new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with regional strategy and client needs
- Provide strategic technical input to the M&M team, supporting business development efforts and client engagements through subject-matter expertise and market insight
- Lead the execution and management of new on-site laboratory projects across KSA, from planning to operational launch
Proposal & Tender Management
- Oversee the preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals, including mine-site tenders, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance
- Develop laboratory layouts, conceptual designs, and select appropriate equipment tailored to client specifications
- Provide technical oversight on proposed laboratory procedures, ensuring alignment with industry standards and BV capabilities
- Prepare detailed financial models covering staffing, operational costs, depreciation schedules, and internal documentation required for approvals
- Coordinate with internal support functions (QHSE, HR/IR, Legal, Technical, Finance, Executive Management) to ensure comprehensive and timely proposal submissions
Post-Award Execution & Client Engagement
- For successful bids, liaise with clients and internal BV experts to refine service offerings and ensure seamless project execution
- Support BV operations during installation, commissioning, and early operational phases, including on-site presence when required
- Facilitate opportunities to promote BV’s extended mineral testing services, such as mineralogy, extractive metallurgy, and offsite assays
- Maintain ongoing engagement with clients and BV operations to ensure service continuity, satisfaction, and future business development
- Participate in the Executive Committee (EC) process to secure necessary internal approvals for strategic projects
Commercial Intelligence & CRM Management
- Utilize the internal CRM system (Salesforce) to manage all relevant opportunities, communications, and reporting
- Ensure accurate tracking of business development activities and maintain visibility across the sales pipeline
- Share market insights, client feedback, and commercial intelligence with internal stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
