About the Role:

The Business Controller is responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring alignment with business objectives and providing strategic insights to support decision-making within the Company.  The role ensures

accurate financial reporting, cost control, and strategic decision-making to support growth and profitability. The Business Controller collaborates closely with senior leadership, commercial teams, product teams, and operations to provide insights that enhance business performance.

Job Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Support the Finance Director with the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and scenario planning.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports with variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast).
• Provide actionable insights on revenue, margins, operating expenses, and cash flow.
• Partner with product and sales teams to assess profitability of new products and business lines.

Management & Performance Reporting

• Prepare and present financial dashboards and KPI reports for executive leadership.
• Track and analyze key business metrics (e.g., unit economics, inventory turns, COGS, R&D ROI).
• Monitor sales performance, pricing strategies, and channel profitability.
• Identify risks and opportunities in financial performance and recommend corrective actions.

Cost Control & Optimization

• Analyze manufacturing, logistics, and operational costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Work with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize inventory and supplier costs.
• Review R&D and marketing spend to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Provide cost reduction techniques for reducing overall product costs without affecting the quality of the product.
• Implement cost-tracking mechanisms and efficiency improvement initiatives.

Financial Compliance & Internal Controls

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and company policies.
• Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and operational processes.
• Support external audits and tax filings as needed.
• Mitigate financial risks through process improvements and policy enforcement.

Business Partnering & Decision Support

• Collaborate with executives and department heads to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Evaluate business cases for new product launches, partnerships, and investments.
• Support pricing strategies, promotions, and sales incentive programs.
• Assist in M&A due diligence and integration efforts (if applicable).

Systems & Process Improvement

• Optimize financial systems (ERP, BI tools) for reporting and automation.
• Drive digital transformation in financial planning and analytics.
• Standardize financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience); MBA or relevant certifications (e.g. CMA, FMVA) preferred.
• 4-7 years in controlling or financial leadership preferably in gaming and/or technology sector, consumer electronics and/or manufacturing industry.
• Experience in using financial software and systems for reporting and data analysis.
• Advanced Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Oodo), Power BI/Tableau.
• Ability to identify growth opportunities and potential financial risks within the gaming industry is a plus.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's long-term goals.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing complex financial data to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
• Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead and mentor finance teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
• Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with the gaming hardware industry, including trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape; understanding of supply chain and operational processes that affect financial performance.
• Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements affecting financial operations and ability to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls and ability to ensure compliance.
• Project Management: Skills in managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively, ensuring timely completion of financial initiatives.
