JOB OVERVIEW
As the Lead Ballet Instructor & Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering engaging ballet classes across multiple levels and managing the day-to-day operations of our ballet program. This includes curriculum planning, scheduling, student evaluations, instructor supervision, and parent communication. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in classical ballet, leadership skills, and a commitment to nurturing dancers in a positive and professional environment.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Program Leadership & Coordination: Oversee the ballet program structure, coordinating logistics, venue schedules, and staffing to ensure smooth operations and optimal class delivery.
2. Curriculum Planning: Design and implement seasonal ballet curricula tailored to various levels, including technique development, artistic expression, and performance preparation.
3. Progress Tracking & Evaluation: Develop and apply clear progression frameworks for students and evaluate individual growth termly. Provide feedback to dancers and families to support ongoing development.
4. Session Delivery: Deliver technically sound and engaging classes across recreational, intermediate, and advanced levels. Promote a supportive and inclusive studio culture.
5. Attendance & Reporting: Maintain class attendance records and progress logs; submit updates and program reports to the Academy Manager.
6. Coach Supervision: Manage assistant and part-time ballet instructors. Ensure cohesive teamwork and appropriate coverage across all classes.
7. Safety & Safeguarding: Uphold all child protection protocols. Administer basic first aid when necessary and ensure a safe, organized training environment.
8. Client & Parent Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for parents and guardians regarding student development, events, and schedules.
9. Event & Competition Management: Lead in organizing internal ballet showcases and prepare students for external performances and competitions. Offer full coordination and student support.
10. Collaboration: Work closely with other Infinite departments (e.g., Infinite Camps, school partners) to support cross-program events and ballet offerings in educational settings.
11. Punctuality & Professionalism: Arrive 30 minutes prior to sessions. Maintain Elevate Ballet’s high professional and presentation standards at all times.
12. Financial Accountability: Support revenue targets by optimizing client retention, class occupancy, and customer experience.

Qualifications and Experience:
High level of training in classical ballet, modern stage dance, contemporary dance, African/ Asian dance or equivalent coaching qualification.
At least 3 years of coaching experience.
Valid driver's license.
Safeguarding certificate.
First aid qualification.
Police clearance check.
Skills and Certifications:
Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and parent engagement abilities.
Competency with MS Office and reporting tools.
Ability to lead structured and inspiring dance sessions
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage and support part-time ballet staff.
Programs Offered: You will lead ballet instruction for:
- Recreational students
- Intermediate and advanced dancers
- Competition-ready performers
Performance Evaluation: Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be outlined and measured termly.
Venue checks will be performed by the management team, with feedback provided.
Additional Information: This position requires flexibility, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in coaching and client service.
Working Hours: 48 Hours across 6 days per week.
