ABANA Enterprises Group Co. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Associate System Administrator to support our IT infrastructure team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our company’s computer systems and network. The Associate System Administrator will assist in managing user accounts, performing regular maintenance on servers, and monitoring security risks associated with our technology environment. You will also be responsible for providing technical support to staff and assisting in the training of application usage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain/amend configurations in Routers, Switches, Firewalls and APs.
- Perform hardware repairs, installation, updates and maintenance on servers.
- Maintain/amend configurations in Forcepoint & Fortinet firewalls.
- Manage and maintain organization IT infrastructure and monitor performance and availability of IT services.
- Identify and execute upgrades of IT infrastructure when needed.
- Oversee network and IT services security.
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
- Plan and execute network infrastructure for new organizational application requirements.
- Assist in scheduling and applying system and application patches.
- Document patching processes and ensure minimal downtime.
- Monitor uptime and performance of core applications.
- Liaise with senior system administrators to troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of access rights based on roles.
- Provide regular reports on capacity and suggest improvements or upgrades.
- Coordinate hardware and software inventory management, ensuring equipment is maintained and replaced as necessary.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Cisco certification.
Experience:
2 Years of experience (including 1+ Years exposure to cybersecurity tasks or training).
Skills:
- Self‐motivated, team player, action and result oriented.
- Knowledge of network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls; Cisco telephony knowledge preferred.
- Basic understanding of security concepts like phishing, malware, MFA, and user access control.
- Well organized, strong communication skills.
