- Define and execute the vision and roadmap for the Smart Cities platform, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, and technological trends.
- Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, data science, and operations to build and enhance platform capabilities.
- Oversee architecture, design, development, and deployment of platform components such as IoT device management, data ingestion and analytics, API integrations, and user-facing applications.
- Ensure platform scalability, security, interoperability, and compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with city stakeholders, technology partners, and internal business units to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and incorporating best practices to keep the platform at the forefront of the smart city ecosystem.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, vendor relationships, and third-party integrations.
- Establish KPIs and monitor platform performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, agility, and technical excellence.
- Represent the platform organization in executive meetings, industry events, and strategic discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in technology leadership roles, including platform management or product leadership, preferably within Smart Cities, IoT, or urban technology sectors.
- Proven track record managing large-scale, complex technology platforms or ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of IoT architectures, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), big data analytics, APIs, and cybersecurity.
- Experience with platform development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including city officials, technology vendors, and internal teams.
