Job Purpose:
Implementation, and monitoring of agricultural value chain development projects aimed at improving productivity, market
access, and sustainability. This role involves conducting in-depth value chain assessments, facilitating market linkages,
and promoting climate-smart practices. The specialist will also support the scaling of producer organizations and MSMEs
(Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in agriculture.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct in-depth assessments of agricultural value chains (e.g., date palms, citrus, peregrina, vegetables, livestock),
identifying bottlenecks, opportunities for upgrading, and potential for market expansion. - Design and implement targeted interventions to improve productivity, quality, and market access for small- and
medium-scale farmers. - Support the formation and scaling of producer organizations and MSMEs in agriculture.
- Facilitate market linkages between producers, processors, input suppliers, and buyers through contract farming,
aggregation models, and business-to-business platforms. - Promote climate-smart agricultural practices, water-use efficiency, and sustainable land management across all value
chain initiatives. - Lead the development of technical scopes of work, research proposals, and RFPs related to agriculture and agribusiness
development. - Support the formation and scaling of producer organizations and MSMEs in agricultu.
- Preform job related duties required by the direct manager.
Job Requirements
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree supply chain, BA, or a related field.
Work Experience:
5 years of relevant experience.
Other Requirements:
• Expertise in contractor management, safety compliance, and operational optimization.
• Experience in managing visitor destinations, cultural sites, or hospitality operations is preferred.
