Job Summary:
As a technical trainer, you will deliver hands-on training and classroom instruction to develop essential skills for automotive technicians, including EV technology and safety procedures. Your role is to bridge the gap between technical knowledge and practical application, ensuring technicians are well-equipped to deliver high-quality service and repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive technical training on automotive diagnostic, repair, and maintenance procedures, including electrical, mechanical, and emerging EV technologies, to technicians and delegates.
- To ensure that all service centers having the same skills mix to ensure dealing with all kinds of repairs
- Develop and update training materials such as manuals, brochures, instructional aids, and resources aligned with industry standards.
- Identify training needs through assessments and develop targeted programs to address skill gaps and enhance technician competency.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions by assessing technicians' knowledge and skills, and identify areas for continuous improvement. • Stay current with the latest automotive technologies, industry trends, and best practices to ensure training relevance and accuracy.
- Maintain and manage training facilities, vehicles, and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and effective learning environment.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on activities, models, visual aids, and technology to teach key automotive concepts, including engine rebuilding, EV technology, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and more.
- Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures for all automotive training activities, tools, and equipment.
- Supervise and coordinate work-based learning projects within the school or community to provide real-world experience.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or 5 plus years of equivalent automotive trades experience.
- 5+ Years in Automotive Industry (e.g. problem solving and repair experience)
- Proficient in quality control methodologies and tools.
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes.
- Experience with statistical analysis and quality data interpretation.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use quality inspection software and tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations in the automotive industry.
