Conduct site inspections for structural components including foundations, piers, pylons, decks, girders, retaining walls, and culverts.
Monitor concrete works, steel reinforcement, post-tensioning, bearings, and expansion joints for compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Verify that contractor's work meets design intent, safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
Review and comment on method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and inspection & test plans (ITPs).
Coordinate with the supervision team, contractor, and client representatives to resolve structural issues on site.
Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) when required and ensure proper follow-up and closure of corrective actions.
Maintain daily logs, inspection reports, photographic records, and documentation of progress and quality.
Attend site coordination meetings and contribute to progress updates and technical discussions.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Prior experience working with consulting engineering firms on large-scale infrastructure is essential.
Deep understanding of structural systems, construction techniques, and relevant codes (AASHTO, BS, Eurocode, etc.).
Familiarity with testing procedures for concrete, steel, welds, and structural elements.
Strong documentation and reporting skills using MS Office and inspection management platforms.
Ability to read and interpret complex structural drawings and bar bending schedules.
