Job Title: Safety Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to oversee all health and safety aspects of our dismantling and demolition projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all operations comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations, and that a strong safety culture is maintained across all job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, implement, and manage HSE policies and procedures specific to dismantling and demolition activities.
· Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and site inspections to identify and mitigate safety risks.
· Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies.
· Lead incident investigations and produce reports with corrective and preventive actions.
· Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills.
· Review and approve site-specific safety plans, method statements, and lift plans.
· Ensure all personnel are using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
· Maintain and update safety documentation and records, including MSDS, permits, and inspection logs.
· Work closely with project managers and field supervisors to promote and enforce safety culture.
· Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities on safety-related matters.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
· Minimum 10 to 15 years of HSE experience in the demolition, construction, or heavy industrial sector.
· Certified Safety Professional (CSP), CHST, or NEBOSH certification is highly desirable.
· In-depth knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards, NFPA regulations, and demolition- specific safety protocols.
· Strong understanding of asbestos, lead, silica, and hazardous materials handling.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety reporting software.
· Ability to travel to job sites and work in potentially hazardous environments.
Work Environment:
· Frequent travel to various active demolition sites.
· Exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and heavy equipment operations.
· Requires use of personal protective equipment and adherence to strict safety protocols.
