We are seeking a Senior Manager of Project Control (DEL-251) to lead our project management initiatives and ensure that our ambitious projects are meticulously planned and executed. This role encompasses overseeing project controls across multiple projects, aligning deliverables with our strategic vision.
In this leadership position, you will manage a proficient team of project control analysts while collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ascertain that every aspect of our projects is governed by efficiency and precision. Your insight will be crucial in evaluating progress, forecasting project costs, and mitigating risks to achieve optimal project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and refine project control systems to enhance tracking of all initiatives.
- Lead cost estimation efforts and manage budgetary allocations for multiple concurrent projects.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project schedules while ensuring regular updates and reporting.
- Utilize metrics and earned value analysis to monitor project performance against established targets.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize impacts on project timelines and budgets.
- Produce regular performance reports for senior leadership and project stakeholders.
- Guide and mentor the project control team to cultivate skills and promote professional development.
- Drive adherence to project management best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to promote synergy and coordination on project objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline;
- At least 9-12 years of extensive experience in project controls, especially in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex project environments effectively.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Strong analytical skills with a capability to interpret financial data and performance metrics.
- Outstanding communication abilities complemented by strong negotiation skills.
- Mastery of project management software, including scheduling (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and financial tools.
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent are highly regarded.
- Prior experience in the Middle East's construction sector is advantageous.
