- Providing strategic planning (urban/town/regional) advice across multiple districts
- Coordinate with project leads and teams to support design evolution and project development
- Researching and designing planning policies to guide development
- Review control documents that will inform future planning assessment
- Maintain relationships with all stakeholders involved in the planning process
- Monitor the progress of approval processes and resolve delays or issues
- Maintain accurate records of submissions and correspondence
- Stay informed about changes in land use regulations, policies and strategies at a regional, national, state and Qiddiya City level
- Advocate for planning team by presenting data and justifications to all internal stakeholders, boards and Snr Management as required
- Support with all other planning department tasks as assigned by the Director and other department members
- Mentor and support development of the planning team, promoting best practices in town planning
- Acting up when required to support the Director of Planning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Urban/Spatial/Regional and Town Planning (Master's degree preferred) - mandatory
- Must have a minimum of 7 years direct experience in preparing local/regional or national planning policy, district control plans, Area Action Plans or equivalent urban or/and regional planning policy and guidance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex project data and make informed recommendations.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a focus on collaborative work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing project conditions in a fast-paced environment.
