Requirements
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of sea freight processes, Incoterms, global shipping trends, and customs regulations.
- Leadership & People Management: Ability to lead, develop, and motivate large teams across multiple locations.
- Negotiation & Vendor Management: Skilled in rate negotiations and managing relationships with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and vendors.
- Financial Acumen: Strong grasp of cost structures, pricing strategies, and profitability metrics.
- Problem Solving: Capable of handling operational issues, delays, or disputes efficiently.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with freight management systems (e.g., CargoWise, SAP TM), MS Office, and data analytics tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Arabic is a plus, if applicable).
- Customer Focus: Committed to delivering service excellence and building long-term client relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
(Master’s degree is a plus) - 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership position focused on sea freight.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale operations and leading high-performing teams.
- Experience in handling P&L, budgeting, and cost optimization.
