About your role
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Analytics & Modeling:
- Develop and optimize statistical, predictive, and machine learning models for varied business use cases (e.g., fraud detection, customer segmentation, supply-demand forecasting).
- Apply AI/ML techniques and best-in-class data science frameworks to large and complex datasets.
- Maintain and enhance robust databases and ETL pipelines for efficient data processing.
- Stay updated with AI/ML advancements, especially those applicable to the Saudi and GCC markets.
- Data Management & Visualization:
- Preprocess, clean, and validate data for high accuracy and relevance.
- Transform data into actionable insights using visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Strategic Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with business units to translate high-level problems into actionable data science projects.
- Present findings and actionable recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support regulatory and compliance initiatives (e.g., data governance, privacy standards).
Requirements
- Have a broad business skill set including stakeholder management, problem-solving, and resilience
- Have experience in gathering, validating, synthesizing, documenting, and communicating data and information for a range of audience
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills in country’s official language(s) (C2 proficiency) and English (C2 proficiency), project-related mobility/willingness to travel
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in advanced analytics, with at least 2 years in a senior/lead capacity within Saudi Arabia or a similar market.
- Deep expertise in Python (and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch); SQL; Big Data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure); and data visualization tools.
- Solid grounding in applied statistics, data mining, machine learning algorithms, and best practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to solve complex business problems, lead cross-functional projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. High ethical standards with a strong focus on data privacy and responsible AI practices.
Preferred/Nice to Have:
- Domain expertise in sectors relevant to the Saudi market (e.g., finance, e-commerce, telecom, health, government).
- Experience with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and cloud-native MLops.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira).
