We are seeking a skilled and proactive Building Services Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that building systems operate efficiently, safely, and sustainably. This includes the design, installation, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services in a range of building types.
- Design, specify, and manage the installation of building systems such as HVAC, lighting, water supply, drainage, fire safety, and power distribution.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and comply with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate timely repairs or system upgrades.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and project managers during construction or renovation projects.
- Use software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM systems to draft and review technical drawings and models.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Monitor energy usage and recommend improvements for energy efficiency.
- Keep up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in building services design, maintenance, or project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, MEP systems, and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIBSE membership, LEED accreditation) are a plus.
