As a Senior Architect specializing in Interior & Fit-Out, you will lead the design and execution of interior projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of design, functionality, and sustainability. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional spaces that align with the vision and needs of our clients. Your expertise in both architecture and interior design will play a critical role in shaping diverse and high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process for interior fit-out projects, from conceptualization to detailed design. Ensure that designs meet client objectives, are aesthetically pleasing, and are functional.
- Develop effective space planning strategies that optimize the use of space while adhering to building codes, regulations, and client needs.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and design aspirations, present design concepts, and guide them through decision-making processes.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including junior architects, designers, and external consultants (engineers, contractors), to ensure project goals are met. Oversee and mentor junior staff.
- Create detailed design and construction drawings, ensuring precision in interior layout, finishes, and the integration of MEP systems. Provide technical specifications for materials and finishes.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure that the fit-out is delivered on schedule and within budget. Address any challenges or issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that work on-site adheres to design specifications and high-quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and resolve any on-site design-related issues.
- Promote sustainable design practices by selecting eco-friendly materials, integrating energy-efficient solutions, and ensuring projects comply with environmental regulations.
- Ensure all designs and fit-outs comply with building codes, local regulations, health and safety standards, and accessibility requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Architecture. A focus on Interior Architecture or Interior Design is highly desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in architecture with a specific focus on interior design and fit-out projects.
- Strong portfolio showcasing interior and fit-out projects, ideally in commercial, retail, hospitality, or residential sectors.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering projects from concept through to completion.
- Expert knowledge of interior architecture, space planning, and design principles.
- Proficient in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D rendering software).
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent project management skills, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and team coordination.
- Ability to communicate complex design concepts effectively to clients, contractors, and team members.
