Our client, a leading company in the FMCG industry in Kuwait, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with expertise in Oracle Financials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for auditing AP, GL, AR, Asset, and MAC Journal entries in Oracle, as well as supporting financial accounting activities. The role also involves assisting with new developments, resolving issues in Oracle Financials, auditing and finalizing GL reconciliations, and ensuring the smooth execution of month-end closing activities.
Responsibilities :
Auditing reconciliation statements & reports in compliance with stipulated time and accuracy norms
Auditing preparation of Trial balance
Auditing monthly & yearly stock valuation
Auditing Intercompany transactions
Auditing & providing all financial informations & reports to the external auditors for the closure of year end financial reports
Auditing & executing payroll with data shared by HR Team
Auditing Journal entries for AP,GL,Asset & MAC modules in Oracle
Auditing & finalising GIT charges & COS
Auditing & processing contractual payments
Month end review & audit of transactions from all modules of oracle
Verifying supplier claim outstanding and processing the same
Monitoring Management Credit-card expenses
Auditing Insurance policies & claims
Maintenance of GL Chart of accounts
Auditing AP supplier master
Verifying month end transaction from all sources including MAC
Ensuring speedy process for the month end closing and resolving financial related issues
Month end Journal entries to be verified and audited
Perform any duty assigned by the line supervisor
Attend any cross training as mandated by the line supervisor-Alternate for colleagues when requested by the manager and ensure that own team mates are trained to replace you prior to annual leave.
Comply with Health, Safety and Environment regulations and working practices of the company and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when carrying out duties
Qualifications:
PG/Bachelors Degree in Accounting or a specialized field in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the FMCG industry, with solid experience in accounting or finance.
Proficient in MS Office, Oracle, and related software.
Fluent in English; proficiency in the local language is preferable.
Strong ability to build relationships with customers and resolve issues using root cause analysis.
Skilled in identifying commercial opportunities and driving financial returns.
Effective in monitoring progress, ensuring tasks are completed on time, and maintaining accuracy.
