Job Summary:
The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring Agile and Scrum practices are followed, removing impediments that obstruct the team’s progress, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role serves as a coach, facilitator, and servant leader for one or more Scrum teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).
- Remove blockers and facilitate solutions to help the team maintain a sustainable delivery pace.
- Shield the team from external interruptions and distractions.
- Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile best practices.
- Foster team self-organization, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Track team metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.) and use data to guide process refinement.
- Promote transparency and communication across the development lifecycle.
- Support the Product Owner in managing the backlog effectively.
- Ensure alignment between the development team and program-level goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I) required.
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile software development environment.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
