We're seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor with 4-5 years of experience to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be the creation, management, and administration of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for a diverse range of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and finalize accurate and comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and measurements for all construction elements.
- Collaborate with project architects, engineers, and designers to ensure the BOQ aligns precisely with project plans.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between drawings, specifications, and the BOQ.
- Assist in the tendering process by providing expert analysis and clarification on BOQ items to prospective bidders.
- Manage and update BOQs to reflect project variations and changes throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Provide support for the preparation of interim and final valuations based on the BOQ.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of direct experience in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities for commercial and/or residential projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying and cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam).
- Solid knowledge of AutoCAD for extracting measurements.
- In-depth understanding of construction materials, methods, and processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical drawings and documents
