Position Overview:
The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and processes meet the organization’s quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This role involves conducting inspections, developing testing procedures, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures, guidelines, and checklists.
- Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet specifications.
- Conduct laboratory tests, measurements, and performance evaluations.
- Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality documentation.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare quality reports and present findings to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field).
- Proven experience in quality control, quality assurance, or manufacturing engineering.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), ISO 9001, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficient in using measuring tools, inspection equipment, and quality software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
