As a Mining Engineer, you will optimize mining operations, oversee extraction and processing, and ensure safety and efficiency. You’ll plan and manage mining activities to maximize production and support company goals, working closely with operations, maintenance, and quality teams.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- Planning and supervising mining operations related to asphalt crushing and aggregate extraction.
- Analyzing and optimizing crusher performance, material flow, and site productivity.
- Collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
- Monitoring site safety, environmental compliance, and adherence to mining regulations.
- Conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analysis for mining activities.
- Implementing process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.
- Managing mining schedules, resource allocation, and site logistics.
- Preparing reports on mining operations, production metrics, and equipment performance.
- Staying up to date with emerging mining technologies, industry best practices, and safety standards.
- Supporting training programs for site staff on mining procedures and safety protocols.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mining operations, preferably within asphalt crushing or quarry environments.
- Strong knowledge of mining processes, crusher operations, and mineral extraction techniques.
- Experience with mining software, scheduling tools, and data analytics.
- Proven track record in optimizing mining operations and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across departments and influence operational improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.
