HVAC QC Inspector
Quality Control Inspector ensures the implementation of all the quality procedures and standards in the appointed area / subcontractor.
He / she is responsible for performing inspections on subcontractor’s activities assuring the conformity to site inspection plans and applicable engineering.
To ensure the implementation of all the quality / HSE procedures and standards for the areas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities, together with the other members of quality/ HSE teams.
To support the construction material controller in checking the supplier’s material prior to the start of works.
To address subcontractor activities for his/her own discipline, ensuring that plant construction works are performed according to the applicable engineering specification, site procedures and site inspection plan according to quality & safety procedures, as well as according to the terms and conditions of the subcontract.
To check that the manpower employed by the Subcontractor continuously respect the requirements of applicable procedures and the quality level fixed by the same.
To check that the equipment employed by the subcontractor are adequate and calibrated as required according to applicable procedures and to the quality level fixed by the same.
To check that the works performed by the subcontractor conform to the applicable documents, safety regulations, and to the quality level fixed by the same, in coordination with the other members of quality / HSE teams.
To inform the site engineer to make the necessary changes when detects any design errors.
To promote the non-conformity draft and informs the construction quality manager, supporting him / her in the nonconformity resolution.
Keeping the construction quality manager informed, receive the request of inspection from subcontractors and confirm to proceed with the inspection informing the client, assume the responsibility in case of client’s (motivated) rejection of the inspection taking care of remedial action and avoiding the repetition of similar case in future.
The QCI operatively reports to the construction quality manager.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably within the construction or oil and gas industry.
- Relevant experience in 3 major EPC projects; oil & gas, petrochemical sector.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, management skills.
- Team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
