Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Delivery Manager – Central Area to lead the delivery of critical airfield infrastructure packages at King Salman International Airport (KSIA) in Riyadh.
This role will focus on the management, coordination, and successful execution of runways, taxiways, aprons, and associated pavement works within the Central Area, ensuring compliance with ICAO, GACA standards, and program requirements aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in airfield civil works delivery within large-scale airport projects and the ability to manage multiple contractors and interfaces in a complex, high-stakes environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and oversee construction delivery of runways, taxiways, aprons, pavements, and related airfield civil works within the Central Area packages.
- Ensure construction activities comply with ICAO, FAA, GACA regulations, and project technical specifications.
- Monitor quality control, material compliance, and testing protocols specific to airfield pavement and support infrastructure.
- Coordinate closely with airside operations, navigation service providers, contractors, and other delivery teams to manage interfaces between airfield packages and adjacent works.
- Manage sequencing of construction works to minimize operational disruption and align with airport commissioning plans.
- Facilitate resolution of technical and logistical interface issues promptly.
- Monitor and manage the Central Area airfield package schedule, ensuring key milestones related to runways and taxiways are achieved.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks specific to airfield construction, including weather, material availability, and technical challenges.
- Implement contingency plans to address potential delays or issues.
- Promote and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental standards on-site in accordance with GACA and international airport safety requirements.
- Work with HSE teams to conduct inspections and audits focused on airfield construction safety.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and operational safety protocols during construction.
- Act as the key liaison between client teams, GACA, contractors, and consultants for all Central Area airfield infrastructure works.
- Provide regular status updates, risk reports, and technical briefings to senior management.
- Support contract administration, variation management, and claims resolution related to airfield packages.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary delivery team specializing in airfield civil engineering and construction management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the delivery team.
- Support skills development and knowledge transfer related to airfield construction best practices.
What You'll Bring;
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- 20 + years of experience managing delivery of large-scale airfield infrastructure projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, and pavement works.
- Proven track record delivering complex airfield civil works within airports, ideally in GCC or similarly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of ICAO and GACA technical standards for airfield design and construction.
- Expertise in airfield pavement materials, construction methodologies, quality assurance, and testing requirements.
- Proficient in project management and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills focused on airfield construction challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and complex interfaces under tight schedules.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in airfield works.
- Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills advantageous.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder program environment.
