Job Overview
The Filipino Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Filipino dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen. The role requires good teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to follow instructions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present traditional Filipino meals.
- Plan and request ingredients and supplies needed for daily menus.
- Ensure food quality and portion control.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen following safety and hygiene standards.
- Support in catering for events and special requests.
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and report any issues with supplies or tools.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Services (preferred).
- Certificate in Food Safety or Culinary Training (an advantage).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial catering kitchens as a Filipino Cook.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, and safety rules.
- Able to communicate in English for team coordination.
